ACHATZ Bauunternehmung GmbH (including its subsidiary, Friedrich Eisen GmbH, and its shareholding in Kurpfälzische Asphaltmischwerke GmbH & Co. KG) is the most complete full-service provider of civil engineering services in the TERRAS group. It operates with around 220 employees in the greater Rhine-Neckar region, with locations in Mannheim, Karlsruhe and Heilbronn.
Management already set up for the future: Thomas Schröder, the managing director, will remain with ACHATZ in the long term. He will support the further development of the TERRAS South Cluster and continuously expand his excellent management team. This will allow him to share the process excellence he learned during his time with the corporation and optimized for the needs of medium-sized companies with other TERRAS subsidiaries as needed.
The starting signal for a quantum leap in TERRAS South Cluster: Through this transaction, TERRAS is establishing a new anchor that can leverage and orchestrate immense synergy potential within the company. It boasts expertise in track construction, gallery construction, pressure pipeline construction (including district heating) and more.
As the third-largest civil engineering company in the region in terms of manpower and with specialist expertise in “construction in existing buildings and buildings under operation,” TERRAS is tapping into yet another attractive new market: that of exacting industrial customers.
