TERRAS occupies the “Rail” division: The Altun Group from Duisburg (core company: Altun Gleis- und Tiefbau GmbH) is a traditional yet modern track construction company with around 160 employees 👷♂️👷♀️, ucomprehensive expertise in track superstructure, track civil engineering, rail welding technology, and noise barrier construction, as well as a state-of-the-art fleet of machinery, including seven road-rail excavators.
The necessary certifications (including prequalification by Deutsche Bahn, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) are of course in place – and our ambitions are high! 📈
The Altun family will remain significantly involved in the TERRAS Rail division as an “anchor,” staying on board in the medium to long term 🚢 and with a strong and dynamic group (TERRAS), wants to take advantage of the enormous organic and inorganic opportunities in the German track construction market – even before the transaction was legally completed, strategic ideas and priorities were discussed and a battle plan was drawn up 🧠📋 (an approach that is probably unique to us – one facet of the “TERRAS way”).
The partnership completes the value chain strategy (services – regional infrastructure construction – specialized civil engineering – rail – resources) and thus makes TERRAS a holistic infrastructure service provider 🏗️ that can offer clients as much as possible from a single source, without friction-intensive interfaces. Infrastructure expansion in Germany needs speed, reliability, and courageous medium-sized companies. For us, this is not just a cliché, but a patriotic duty 🇩🇪.
We agree: the Altun motto fits us perfectly in an expanded form—because the entire German infrastructure is a matter of trust.
Germany needs small and medium-sized enterprises. TERRAS is a small and medium-sized enterprise. We are TERRAS. 🤝
