The ideal complement to TERRAS Spezialtiefbau: D&K Spezial Tiefbau GmbH & Co. KG is a full-service provider of special foundation engineering services (sheet pile walls, soldier pile walls, pile foundations/walls, groundwater handling, pali radice, micropiles, slope stabilization) with approx. 120 employees based in Bad Grönenbach (Bavaria) and mainly active in southern Germany. Together with Demler (center, west, north) and Wendt (east, north), we now have geographic coverage of the entire German market and all conceivable trades.
Terras has risen to become the number one independent special foundation engineering specialist in Germany: With D&K included, we achieve a total turnover of over €100 million per year in specialist foundation engineering alone. This puts us at the top among German medium-sized specialist foundation engineering companies. We expect to generate considerable synergy potential in purchasing and cooperation within TERRAS, not only in special foundation engineering but also with our South Cluster, which includes five more companies from the civil engineering and service sectors.
At D&K, a careful succession process has already been initiated: Alexander Dreier will remain on board for several more years. The successor to Frank Kahle has already been appointed, and both will gradually hand over the baton to their second-level colleagues, who are excellently qualified. This is how we combine continuity with future viability (“the TERRAS way”) and bring the D&K motto, “High standards on a solid foundation,” to life in this field, too.
Last but certainly not least, we are adding an ultra-modern site (approximately 30,000 m²) in a prime location (right on the A7). The site features innovative inventory management and a large steel warehouse. It’s a real eye-catcher that cannot be missed from the highway!
